My latest Facebook status states "What I don't understand is todays stubborn job market. Employers please understand that IF YOU DON'T GIVE ME A CHANCE I WON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE!"
So here is what has been bothering me today. I got a call back from the job I applied to and they told me that they have it narrowed down to candidates that they picked LAST THURSDAY! Well thats not what bothered me. I'm sure the two candidates they picked are smart and can do the job well. They may even have one aspect in common: EXPERIENCE. Now, I know I have no experience and that I haven't exactly graduated yet, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't be considered.
The job market is down, its so far down that these employers won't give a newbie a chance. So when I graduate with my bachelors next year, I can guarantee that 80% of the companies I apply to will shoot me down because I lack experience. BUT, see thats me thinking negatively.
So future employers, all I have to say is that I thank those of you that will give me a work experience. As for those that won't, I'm sorry but you MAY be losing a valuable employee. Even though I sound super arrogant and cocky, I know that I work hard and that I am innovative and brutally honest when it come to the work place. I will find a way to do the task at hand no matter how tough it may be. I plan on working hard to reach the top. So those of you that think I lack certain aspects, tough luck.
Just give me a chance to prove myself. okay?
